Description

With the field of view of my one and only telescope limited to less than half a degree, I am getting more and more practice with mosaics. This is an 8 panel composite made using NINAs framing assistant. Then Microsoft ICE to position and blend the panels. Each panel was captured and stacked in Sharpcap. The FITS files were then processed in Startools before combing with ICE.  After cropping, the final 8 panel mosaic was then brightened  in Lightroom.  One day I'll buy a small scope with a larger field of view!!

The first image shows the positioning of each of the 8 panels in NINA. Version B is the final processed image. Pretty pleased with this given that I was imaging with an 80% moon! The L-extreme filter really helps.

Note: the number of frames = the number of frames per panel i.e 75 x 4 secs = 5mins per panel.
