Description

M16, the Eagle Nebula with the Pillars of Creation. Probably one of the most iconic targets for an Astrophotographer. To me this target was unreachable until I got the chance to move my equipment to a pixelskies observatory in Spain. It’s a wonderful experience and I get to image beautiful targets like the Eagle Nebula. I tried many processing variations on this special target and ended up mapping the colours in a mixture of SHO and the dynamic narrowband combination according to foraxX. I learned a lot processing this target due to  several iterations with their different results.
Also I found using a dynamic combination for the luminance giving quite good results, as I learned from a Youtube Videao by Paulyman Astro. Check out Paulyman Astro on Youtube for more of his takes on processing narrowband images and other interesting techniques like how to stretch with the GHS script (also used in this image).
