Description

"Stargazer, A View of the Universe"
- Messier 8 Lagoon Nebula closeup
- LRGB-HSO Crop 750mm
- Sagittarius constellation

From the data of my images of the Lagoon Nebula, I have worked out a closeup of the core this time, as an HSO image, with RGB star colors.
I've always liked these red/blue combinations :-) Unfortunately, the stars are a bit bloated - is that due to the luminance recordings, it was probably not that clear in the sky, when taking the pictures...
But, I can imitate that, then, next season in about a year, for this season I've finished with M8 for the time being, it's already far too low on the horizon :-)

What is special about this astro image is that it was taken from my small balcony observatory in the middle of the city, in a heavily light-polluted sky, with Bortle 7-8. During the recordings, the fog was between 5° and 18° above the horizon in the sky.

This picture was taken with a dual-camera system, it shows the recordings of the main camera (Atik16200) at a focal length of 750mm (Skywatcher 150/750PDS).
