Used Stellarium 0.20.3 to scout and frame target; Manually entered RA/Dec into ASIAir pro. Dithered 2 pixels every frame and set to auto acquire ~65 x 300s images for Ha and Sii, about ~90% were usable. The Harvest Moon was approaching and it provided some serious shot noise. Have a safe Hallows' Eve!

Blink / Subframe Select, Calibrated (40 Dark, 60 Flat, 100 Bias), Star Aligned all images with PixInsight. Used the Normalized Scale Gradient for integration.

For Ha & Sii channels: Cropped, DBE, EZ Denoise (& duplicated the Ha here for the Lum), EZ Soft Stretch, StarNet for star removal, and channel combined using PixelMath R = Sii and G = Ha followed by SCNR. The duplicated Ha -> Lum was Mask Stretched, HDR, LHT, MMT, Star reduced with EZStarRed, and LRGB combined with the PixelMath SH image. - Note half way through processing the Ha I did a PS touch-up for artifact bands.

Image L channel only HisT and CurveT adjusted to taste with masks. Photoshop to further adjust saturation and contrast, and additional noise reduction from banding. Pixinsight for Resample, Crop, and Annotation.

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
Promotions by Submitters When 3 distinct Submitters promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for Top Pick status. This requirement, in addition to anonymization of images and distribution to only a subset of them, prevents biases and ensures that the best images are selected.
Promotions by Reviewers When 3 distinct Reviewers promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for IOTD status.
Early dismissal Staff members have a lot of images to inspect on a daily basis, and they can dismiss images if they believe they don't meet the requirements for IOTD/TP selection. If an image is dismissed 5 times, it's removed from the process. This streamlines the process and ensures that any bias present in promotions could be overruled by other staff members.
