Description

When you take a look in the direction of the constellation „Taurus“ in a moonless night, you will instantly recognize the brightest stars of the „Pleiades“ which are also called the Seven Sisters. The Pleiades are an open star cluster in a distance of about 440 light years.
The nebulae around the brightest stars were originally thought to be „leftovers“ from the time of birth of these stars but are more likely to be random interstellar gas clouds illuminated by the stars around it.
