I only had a few minutes to capture this in between two houses. Most of the southern sky is blocked from our 2-story house.

Title: M42 - Reprocessed using PixInsight, BlurXterminator, and Photoshop

Description: I created two separate files: One focusing on the core of M42, and then another on the balance of the nebula. In Photoshop I did some enhancements such as color tweaks, and then blended two layers (using a mask) to bring out the details of the core. The original capture only includes 9 subs due to a very limited window of the region from my backyard (dang houses!). I am very pleased with the image considering the constraints. I will need to go remote to capture this area again. Unfortunately due to the weather/clouds in the Northwest during winter, it is almost impossible to time weather, moon phase, and my availability to image in this way. For now, I guess this will suffice.
