Description

Continuing my tour in the region of Orion ... in between the clouds obviously

In this Hubble palette presentation and orientation I think NGC 2174 The Monkey Head Nebula looks more like a cosmic peacock feather hence the title

Set off for 7.5 hours over two nights , got just less than four usable subs due to clouds etc

Taken this with my 800mm focal length Orion Astrograph as opposed to the 250mm with my Redcat 51 which I got last year

I was also planning to finish the cone nebula using my other rig but .... power failure to that scope !

Also (further disaster ) I set the Orion going on the Sunflower galaxy after finished this ... went to bed ... the telescope for some reason disconnected from NINA and so the end of sequence command didn't work ... so scope bash into mount at some point in night ... no obvious damage but cant be good from the tracking accuracy of the mount going fwd
