Description

After a mirror wash of my 10" Newton and a following change of the mirror position to enabel the use of a 0.7 Reducer I wanted to try the new system in spite of the bright moon. I directed my telescope to M82 (what is by the way also known under "Bode Nebula") and made a series of photos. The distance corrector/camera was far away from perfect, I didn't make any darks or flats.

5 or 6 Days later I found out that this picture, taken betwen 16th Feb 9.22 PM and 17th Feb 01.45 AM is probably one of the first showing the supernova SN 2014J. At this time the brightness was at about mag 13.5.
