Description

90 Herculis is a close double in Hercules, that is difficult to split due to the large difference in brightness between the primary and secondary (about 25x), and the close separation. In fact, with a 4-5" scope, the secondary sits right on the first diffraction ring, increasing the difficulty of detection. Even with a 6" scope, it lies just on the edge of the first diffraction ring, so it is very difficult to detect.

I was unable to visually see the secondary, no doubt hampered by the poor seeing. Even with imaging, stacking, and processing, the secondary is very hard to discern.
