Description

Messier M45 - The Pleiades aka the Seven Sisters. This is obviously not the whole thing - I couldn't fit that into the frame with my scope. It's still a beautiful sight though. You can see some of the nebulosity coming through - I believe it looks blue, visually, because it's a reflection nebula and the stars are hot (ie: they burn blue). Definitely a cool sight!

I should also note that this was my first set of images taken at the O'Brian Dark Sight in Montgomery County, taken tonight with my 10" scope. This is 4 - 2 minute exposures at 400 ISO
