Description

M27 (NGC 6853) is a planetary nebula located in the Constellation Vulpecula. It is approximately 1360 light years away, and estimated age (based on its expansion rate) is a maximum of 14,600 years. The central star is a white dwarf. First discovered by Charles Messier in 1764, M27 is one of the most observed objects by amateur astronomers. (Source Wikipedia).

Used the Meade 12"LX200 at F7.5. Employed 63 subs at ISO1600 and 10 minutes each (10.5 hr) on 7/12 (15), 7/13 (15), 7/17 (16), and 7/18(17). Processing was done with PixInsight. This is a slight crop -- North is up.

All in all I was pleased with the results. You can just make out the faint nebulosity just outside of the image proper.
