Description

This was my first attempt to PiggyBack from my Losmandy G11 using my brand new Canon 6D. I wasn't entirely pleased with the outcome, but considering it was from my light polluted backyard I guess it will do. I only have one lens for this so far in imaging that way a Canon 50mm 1.8 lens. I shoot this one stopped down to 2.2 and experimented with various different ISO settings and the best under my conditions was ISO 800. As I increased the ISO settings everything just got way to bright. This was the best setting from my backyard. I imaged this for just 15 seconds and found focus issues at the extreme edges of the frame; blurry and semi triangle star shapes so I had to crop that out. I did spend much time focusing and refocusing in Backyard EOS with magnifications up to 400% trying to get all the stars tight.

I think I'll save the PiggyBack imaging for when I'm in a really dark site and have the time to explore all other parts of the sky, and I will do that when I go camping this summer.
