Description

This was the first time ever that I have imaged with my Celestron C11 at F10 2800mm with a DSO and was thrilled with the outcome using my special RA worm gear of Ovision. I was able to manage 1 minute unguided subs with good nice round stars.

I will be adding more subs to this project in the next 2 weeks.

Thus far this is my 5th straight night of imaging M27. This particular night on 061115 was exceptional in every way. The seeing and transparency was stellar even in my backyard location. Only 1 light was on in my direction of imaging from all the nearby houses. I had polar alignment set very well and was averaging about 75 second subs unguided at 2800mm f10 which was really amazing. I was even able to do 10 percent of the subs unguided at 90 seconds each. Overall I did about 1.5 to 2 hours of imaging.

I will continue to image this DSO at a dark location and see what more wonders it will reveal.
