Second attempt last night / with a far less transparant sky.

Collimation done before imaging this time which made a difference in star quality.

Autoguiding with the Lacerta MGEN II and a 8x50 Finder Scope

Image Scale: 0,6"/pixel

Image Size: 11,3x 8,35'

Distance IX1296: 221 Million LY

Distance M57: 2300 LY

It's rare to see a galaxy near a planetary: planetaries usually are in the Milky Way which obscures distant galaxies. You can make out 3 stars within the Ring, the central star being 14.8 magn.
