Description

Measuring about 75 light years across, M4 is one of the more loosely structured globular clusters. The exact number of stars it contains is unknown but believed to be in the tens of thousands. Along with NGC 6397 it is the closest globular cluster to us at only 7,000 light years away. North is at the top. Below average seeing, some clouds.
