Description

This is 8 hours worth of exposure time with just the IR /CUT filter and the QHY268C.Gamma Cassiopeiae is a remarkable blue-white star that is surrounded by a gaseous disc responsible for the blue light that is being reflected by dust particles in the nebula . The star is 19 times more massive than our Sun and it also rotates at the incredible speed of 1.6 million km/hour.

The nebula’s ethereal glow in reality it's simply hydrogen that is being bombarded with ultraviolet radiation from the nearby, blue-giant star Gamma Cassiopeiae  causing it to glow in red light.
