Description

The central yellowish star in this dusty view is T Tauri; the original in the class of T Tauri variable stars and thought to be a young (less than a few million years old) sun-like star still in the early stages of formation. Directly next to it is Hind's Variable Nebula (NGC 1555). Both star and nebulae are seen to vary significantly in brightness over time independently of one another.
