Description

The Needle Galaxy (NGC 4565) is a prominent example of an edge-on spiral galaxy about 40 million ly away in the constellation Coma Berenices. It is massive containing up to a trillion stars. There are hundreds of other galaxy clusters in this shot many hundreds of light years away, taken yesterday from my light polluted back garden in north London.
