Description

North is up in this image. In this image the Sharpless 235 is the small bright emission roughly central in the image. The large dominating emission nebula toward the upper right is Sharpless 232. In the visual center of this object is a small planetary nebula G137.5+03.2 it is barely detectable in this image. Also in Sharpless 232 toward its upper region is a dark nebula known as LDN 1523. Two other emission nebulae are Sharpless 231 and 233. Sharpless 235 also have parts A, B, and C trailing off just below. These emission nebulae also have LBN designations. These objects as well as some of the brighter stars are identified in the annotated image. Horizontal FOV is 120'
