Description

A rare capture for me showing Uranus largest moon Titania to the upper left of frame and Uranus in the lower right. This is framed exactly as seen in Stelarium on Aug 24th 0630 UTC at my location when the image was captured.

Titania is Uranus largest moon at 1,578 Km. Its surface is red in color. The redding of the surface possibly results

from space weathering caused by the bombardment of charged particles and micrometeorites. Its also possible that its color is related to the accretion of a reddish material coming from the outer parts of the Uranina system, possibly from irregular satellites.

Titania orbits Uranus at a distance of 271,000 miles, being the second farthest from the planet among its five major moons. Its orbit is inclined and spends both its northern and southern poles 42 years in complete darkness and 42 years in complete sunlight.

Uranus is the coldest planet in the solar system at -371 F. Its orbit is tilted sideways with its north and south poles lie where other planets have their equators. Wind speeds from the planet can reach 500 MPH. Uranus orbits around the Sun once every 84 years and is about 20 AU from the Sun.

Note this is from a single frame capture at 2.2 seconds at ISO 100 on the Hutech Canon 6D camera.
