Description

About the image:

I took ~2300 pictures during the Meteor shower spanning from 9:30-5:30. I took about 900 of the photos and stacked them to make the star trails you see here.

If you would however like to see the main reason I took so many pictures (to make a timelapse), you can view it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=thiMTGAYUV0

I did my best to capture what the view at the area actually looked like, I felt these settings were the best mix of how many visible stars there were and kept the total number of frames down. The video shows a few more stars than were naked eye visible, but not many. The jump in the video around halfway through was when the police showed up. I was set up in the middle of no where on a dead end road with one house on it. Thought I wouldn't have any visitors so I set up in the middle of the road. I saw them so I began to move my stuff out the street, but they told me it was fine to leave it there and that they came out here to view the meteor shower as well.

It was a nice night, and the only clear night I had between the 11th and the 14th, I was worried at the beginning that it wasn't going to clear up, but it eventually did. Didn't use any darks, looking back I really wish I did.

Enjoy
