Description

The Iris Nebula (left side), also NGC 7023, is a bright reflection nebula and Caldwell object in the constellation Cepheus. The Iris is 1,300 light-years distant and six light-years across. The NGC designation refers to an open cluster of stars, while the nebula itself is more correctly identified as LBN 487 or vdB 139. The nebula is lit by a magnitude +7 star, SAO 19158.

The Ghost Nebula (little nebula right side) is a reflection nebula located in the constellation Cepheus. The Ghost nebula is referred to as a globule (cataloged CB230) and over 2 light-years across. There are several stars embedded, whose emissions make the nebula shine in brownish colour.
