Description

This one turned out to be more interesting than I thought it would be.  Obviously, M27 is a well-known and often photographed object.  I myself have already shot this two times before in the past. This time I decided to shoot it in narrowband - something that is not done as often as you might think, and I also used the new ZWO ASI2600MM-Pro camera on it.  I cannot say enough good things about this camera!I ended up getting 10.25 hours of integration on it.  The processing turned out to be eventful as I found that shrouded in the bright nebula was some amazing detail that could be brought out - and the detail seen through each filter was VERY different. Then determining what color mapping to use was another whole story.  I actually processed three complete versions of this image (SHO, HOO< and a custom mix) to completion and chose the SHO version as the final rendition - but the others are interesting as well. I hope you take a moment to check on the website post for this and the processing story on this was pretty interesting.
