Description

Here is a mult-frame mosaic of the galactic center region. Each frame in the mosaic is a SINGLE 1-minute exposure with a 100 mm f/2 lens, stock camera. No stacking, no darks, no bias, and no flats. Despite no flats, raw conversion in photoshop ACR with lens profiles which includes a model flat field, the resulting mosaic has no seams. No dust motes (and I didn't remove any because there were none to remove). The image below is 1/3 of full resolution (click on "original size" link below the image). Tracking with an astrotrac.

This was made from a remote area of Colorado with little light pollution, but the airglow was very intense. The image is a crop of this nightscape:
