Description

This started out as just a quick and simple test of high gain, short exposure narrow band imaging. I had only intended to acquire a few subs at gain 300 with the ASI1600 just to see how they would turn out. After seeing the extremely clean random noise and the strong signal of even a single sub, I decided to acquire data on all three narrow band channels.

For an unexpected detour, and only 1h45m of total integration time across all three channels, I have to say, I am amazed at what this little camera can do! I've embarked on additional high gain imaging projects to see what it will really take when your almost entirely shot noise limited.
