Description

An attempted test shot of The Orion Nebula imaged on 092816 from a single 20 second sub using a Celestron C14 without any autoguiding ; nor OAG. Imaged at F11 3950mm. The reason I'm posting is to depict basically how I was observing Orion using my Ethos 10mm eyepiece. The scale was nearly the same as this but with much more higher resolution visually. This is my favorite winter object and I spent nearly all night visually observing this last week for nearly 5 hours and thought well lets pull out the laptop and see if I can get lucky to image this with a new stock Canon T6 camera.

Backyard EOS does not support this camera yet, but did my best to try using it anyway with limited to no functions. I was surprised to even get this image with relative round stars. Maybe an Astro Physics 1600 Mount is needed to really image properly with this beast of an OTA. This is from a single 20 second sub with calibrated, flats, darks, and biases
