Description

Some old data reprocessed today with what I have learned over the past year in PixInsight...

The FITS header is incorrect, but I recall doing these at F:5.6 on the Cannon 200mm

When I first began imaging a year ago, I saw quite a few images coming through like this one, and I thought surely this must be a mistake, overhead clouds that I couldn't see with my eyes, or some defect in my flat field processing. But now, with more than a year of experience at this, I'm more likely to believe that a great deal of that cloudiness is actually up there.

... but I also believe I am very near the quantum readout limits of the sensor in these images, and to some extent, I really am just bouncing noise. Take a look at the right edge of the image from some distance back, and you'll see an unlikely geometric alignment of cloudiness...
