Description

This image was captured from my backyard in Oakville, Ontario, Canada at 11:13 pm EST on Saturday March 4th, 2017. Oakville was on the southernmost edge of the grazing track of Aldebaran. Ten seconds after the shot was taken, Aldebaran disappeared behind the dark perimeter of the moon. Approximately 20 minutes later the Eye of Taurus reappeared from under the moon. The camera was an Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark II, using an M. Zuiko 300mm lens, set at 300mm. ISO 200, shutter 1/10 sec and f11.
