Description

The North America Nebula or NGC 7000 is an emission nebula in the constellation Cygnus, close to the bright star Deneb, approximately 1800 light years from Earth. NGC7000 has has a fairly low surface brightness with an apparent visual magnitude of 6, but it's quite large covering an area of approximately 3° on the summer sky.
