Description

This is the first out of four data sets, that I have manage to take over three separate nights, with this one being at full moon. The speed at which this RASA 8 scope soaks up the photons is amazing, and whilst the raw stacked master was swamped with huge light gradients because of the moon's casting, I am really pleased with what I managed to get out of the data. I would like to think that my processing has improved since I last imaged this iconic object, but even so there is no way any other scope I have, would have got this data in 1.25 hours! Yes, all it was, was 25 subs at 3 minutes long each, using a duo band filter. I look forward to using my mono 294 with this set up, but I am starting off slowly. Hoping you like it everyone, and I have enclosed a picture of the scope too. Have a good night. Simon
