Description

I'm confused AND happy at the same time

This is first time using WO Star 71 at its full potential, i.e. with real mount (HEQ5) and an autoguiding system. I did it from my balcony, not from the place I used to go for imaging

And you know what I've got? The sky was so-dark! far more dark than expected!

Seriously, the place I usually do imaging has quite a strong LP and I always thought my balcony had an equivalent crappy sky (plus: full of buildings!). Instead I can use much longer exposures (10 minutes at 800ISO vs 4 minutes at 400ISO which was my previous "standard") and have the same position for histogram slope. That means: 3 times less light pollution (accounted for different f ratio), not bad!!

Looking forward for next new moon!!
