Description

Tonight I decided to try and image something I haven't imaged or haven't imaged much. As is

the usual lately clouds moved in and affected my imaging and also a nearly full Moon rose

before I finished imaging and caused a lot of light glare problems. The second object I

decided to image was M68. M68 is a relatively dim globular cluster with a listed magnitude

of 7.7. It is difficult to see in an 80mm aperture scope from my back yard because of light

pollution from a prison in that direction. Even with a dark sky all you see through an eyepiece

in an 80mm refractor is just a fuzzy patch of light. However I managed to get an image of

M68 and I can check another object off of my on going Messier project list. With all of that

said this is my most recent attempt at imaging M68. Please enjoy.
