Description

Same image of Jupiter with three different Registax wavelet settings.

Left and right images are both dyadic wavelets. Middle image is linear wavelets.

Left image has more of wavelet layers 4-6 used, while centre and right images have less or none of those layers used, concentrating on layers 1-3. Personally I prefer the right image I think.

Captured with a C11 on AVX mount with Starsense, ZWO ADC, Explore Scientific 2x Focal Extender, and ZWO ASI120MC USB2 colour camera. No filters. Firecapture tells me it was 0.13 arcsecs per pixel / effective focal length 6000 mm. In AS2 I stacked best 40% of the 90 second, 6500 frame avi, so 2600 frames stacked. FPS was 71 per second, using an ROI of 576x400. Shutter was 12.6 ms, gamma 50, gain 60, "high speed" on, avg histogram 46% (captured with no debayering).
