Description

Two nights of data on NGC 281 using RGB for stars and SHO for the nebulosity.  I'm using ArchSinhStretch now for stretching the RGB images to highlight only stars.  Then with a dark RGB for the stars, I blend this into the processed SHO using a screen blend in PixelMath.  The narrow band is pretty much just SHO, but I used numerical factors for S and O to get the initial color balance more to my liking.  I'm really starting to use Russel Croman's StarXTerminator and NoiseXTerminator tools, as like here, the star residuals were clearly less than StarNet2, and the noise reduction from NoiseXTerminator is so easy to use but super effective.

I had to work hard on this image to tone down the crazy oranges around the periphery of the nebula... lots of masking and curves transforms...
