Description

Blink / Subframe Select, Calibrated (35 Dark, 60 Flat, 100 Bias), Star Aligned all images with PixInsight. Used the Normalized Scale Gradient for Integration.

For Ha, Sii, Oiii channels:  Cropped, DBE, EZ Denoise (& duplicated the Ha here for the Lum), EZ Soft Stretch, StarNet for star removal, and channel combined using PixelMath (ForaxX palette*).  The duplicated Ha -> Lum was Background Neutralized, MLT, Mask Stretched, HDR, LHT, MMT, Star reduced with MorphTrans, and LRGB combined with the PixelMath RGB image.

Combined image was Arcsinh Stretched with mask. Curves and Color Saturation modified to taste with masks, then Resample, Crop, and Annotation.  Photoshop to further adjust saturation and contrast, touch-up star color, and additional noise reduction.

*f is (Ha*Oiii)^~(Ha*Oiii)
R = f*Sii + ~f*Ha
G = f*(.7*Ha + .3*Sii) + ~f*Oiii
B = Oiii
------

Used a first session to capture about 25 frames of M16 using a IDAS NBZ dual band filter on a monochrome to try as a Lum layer for any Astronomik' Ha/Sii/Oiii filters being used over several more nights. Starting the preprocessing and am at this stage:

Blink / Subframe Select / Calibrate / Align / Integrate (With Drizzle)  --- Temp STF view to crop and process later.

Note: Scrapped the IDAS NBZ data

Description: Did a processing with stars but they were a bit too elliptical to deal with as a whole for now - being 3rd light on this giant-long scope, I am having a heck of a time with the Dec axis and balance. Also I clearly need more of this NBZ data anyways for f7 versus f5 for these narrowband filters, soo I will try again for stars but will use this data to stack into the 2nd star capture attempt.

This is a good target in the southern sky to get the scope up and going with as it were. Will use the next few nights to mess with balance on the Ha/Oiii/Sii data since I planning to remove the stars from that data already. Hopefully I can fix the star trailing when I get back around to this dual-band filter.

Description: Ended up scraping the IDAS NBZ filter data and went with Ha data for Lum. The new 130mm rig is far more sensitive to weight distributions than my smaller scopes and the data from the IDAS filter is far more noisy from imperfect balancing.

This is the current progress with the Ha, Sii, & Oiii data collected to date. Still need work on the stars -> plan to add in RGB star data when the nights clear up.
