Description

M42 Orion Nebula - my first attempt, shot in a Bortle 4 zone with 2 2x Barlow lenses, rising just over the horizon early in the morning. While I realize this process was not amazing, I was quite happy with how much of the color was apparent on the first individual frame. I've also noticed on some images of Orion that the youngest star group in the center often gets over processed or is not processed back separately, and so it just appears as a massive glowing orb. While that's pretty cool too, I prefer being able to differentiate each of them within the nebula. However, it resulted through my first attempt at processing M42 in very dark nebulosity.

Seeking some tips on this. Criticism of all types welcomed.
