Target: NGC 5128 - Centaurus A - with Luminance Shells and Ha Jets
This is my first project with the Askar 120 APO triplet refractor with just over 49 hours of integration. It was shot with the 1.0x flattener which provides a focal length of 840mm.
Centaurus A provided a good testing target for the Askar 120, as it contains fine luminance shell details and Ha filament jets emanating from the galactic core. Both objects required adequate integration time and processing to resolve. Each object is easily resolved in its own channel (below), however some detail becomes less obvious when all LHaRGB channels are combined.
Date: Imaged over April and May 2024 from ACT region, Australia.

- WBPP with 2x Drizzle and Autocrop enabled
- Gradient Correction per channel
- BlurXTerminator @ AI V4.0 @ 0.5 Sharpen Non-stellar per channel
- LRGB Combine
- SPCC
- StarXTerminator for star removal on LRGB and Ha channels
- Subtract Continuum and Combine H Alpha scripts to extract the Ha jets then combine to LRGB image
- Histogram Transform for stretching, hue and saturation
- NoiseXTerminator @ 0.5 Denoise
