Description

Comet C/2022 E3 (ZTF) as it moves back out to the outskirts of the solar system. I've been waiting for this to rise above my northern horizon and was pleased to finally have captured it on the 9th of February just before the full moon rose. There is just the barest hint of an ion tail now so I am quite jealous of those in the northern hemisphere who saw it at its peak.  Also in the image is a train of faint dark nebula running down the left side of the image.
This image comprises 49*60sec OSC images processed in Pixinsight. I've been trying the newer comet processing techniques in PI and had some (limited) success. However, I've spent too much time on it now so i will just have to wait for the next comet to come our way before i try again. Sorry for yet another comet image.....
