Description

Composite image - Mars and Lunar Mosaic

Taken 9/5-9/6 2020 when both were together in the sky

Setup: Tak FS60Q (600mm F10) + Televue 3x Barlow + ZWO ASI178mm + Astronomik Proplanet 642

On Tak PM1 Mount. 2 minute captures, with gain/fps set depending on object.

Captured using Sharpcap, processed using AS3 and Photoshop w/ Topaz Denoise.

Note that Mars is colorized using Photoshop (my capture was mono), and I had to eyeball the position of Mars relative to the moon in the final framing. If I had it to do over again I would have taken a widefield image as well to allow me to align the moon and Mars in the final image. Instead I used Stellarium for best guess. Apologies for any positional inaccuracies that result - this is more of a "capture the feel" shot vs astronomically accurate.
