Description

It was extremely hot the last week in my area of Switzerland. During the night it was always way above 20 °C (around 70 °F). With my modified Canon EOS 500D the sensor temperature was close to 40 °C (around 100 °F), so I did not even bother to take long time exposures.

I went back to M57, it is bright enough to get some results with only 60 second lights. This time I used the old Nikon 2x teleconverter. Compared to my first try (http://www.astrobin.com/296627/B/) this improved the details quite a lot. Although the guiding graph looked quite ok in PHD2, the stars are not really round. I guess the almost 1,1 meter focal length are too much for this mount.

Best regards from Switzerland,

Jan
