Description

Sh-9 from Wiki

Sh2-9 is a rather extensive nebula that reflects the blue radiation of σ Scorpii, a multiple star whose main component is a short blue button giant variable and oscillations of the order of 0.06 magnitudes; this star also produces an ionization front which also shines the cloud in an autonomous way. The brightest part coincides with the large arc of ionized gas, which receives the highest radiation due to its proximity to the star;
