NGC 5367 Reflection Nebula in Centaurus

This is a beautiful nebula at a distance of 2050 light years in the constellation of Centaurus. Given its large size I would need a 2x2 mosaic to fit it all in, so I have just imaged the area where the reflection nebulae are manifest. Perhaps I can get the other panels next year.
It is not difficult to see that the radiation from these hot blue stars is being reflected back by the extensive dust clouds. In some places the dust clouds curl around between us and the stars and are substantially blocking the reflected light from behind.
A magnificent celestial vista methinks.

Lights: 14.3 hours of integration

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
Promotions by Submitters When 3 distinct Submitters promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for Top Pick status. This requirement, in addition to anonymization of images and distribution to only a subset of them, prevents biases and ensures that the best images are selected.
