Description

A bright Supernova, as a visible Comet, is an exceptional event for astronomers, astrophiles, and astrophotographers. An event to remember in our studies, observations, and images. We had a bright Supernova in Messier 101 in May 12 million away from us. On 8th Sept. was discovered in NGC1097, a barred spiral Galaxy (a Seyfert Galaxy) in the constellation Fornax 45 million light-years away from the Solar System. The constellation is very low on the horizon and difficult for photographers in the boreal hemisphere. So, I decided to use a remote Telescope in Chile. So, I could capture also this event. This SN is not so bright (14th apparent magnitude) or near to us as SN2023ixf in M101 and is not increasing its brightness. For information about the SN https://www.rochesterastronomy.org/sn2023/sn2023rve.html
