Description

A single frame fro the same session as the Panorama but showing the background stars and fanned tail in more detail. My only regret was not being able to go bush and see this under a dark sky because THAT was a once in a lifetime visual experience but I did keep pretty busy at North Head for two weeks dodging clouds. Visually the first appearance at North Head happened after almost everyone had left and it suddenly appeared like vast perpendicular ghost and my wife and I were gob smacked. Then the clouds came in and just as we were packing up a very slow moving fireball, that i thought initially was an air craft, came in off the ocean out of cloud taking about 6-8 seconds before finally sputtering out over head. What a night!
