Description

Possibly the ONLY amateur image of this region in existence. The main galaxy in this field is PGC9408. The field itself could be considered to be really boring, that was the point. I manually pointed the telescope at the most boring unassuming patch of sky that would move over zenith in a few hours, one that I could happily image for the entire night.

Was hoping to collect about twice the amount of exposure but I've come to the conclusion that the QHY163 driver isn't overly stable in Bootcamp on my MacBook Pro. Crashed after an hour of Lum on the first night and then captured 5 hours of blank frames. Had the same issue crop up on the second night but only lost half an hour.

My purpose at my dark site was to work on my focuser collimation but I'm still having some bad tilt in the bottom right corner and a bit in the bottom left so there is some optical problems. Still working on it so this image is meant as a warts and all.
