Description

While skies were poor at best, I am proud to say that with the help of Alex McConahay's RGB tutorial, I was able to fully process my first image in PixInight. It's not the best, but at least I am getting a handle on PI. This nebula, mostly as a result of clouds and moon glow was very faint.

This info from the internet:

Coddington’s Nebula (IC 2574) is a faint dwarf irregular galaxy which is receding from us at a speed of just 55 km/sec. It is about 50 thousand light-years across and located some 12 million light-years away in the northern constellation Ursa Major. IC 2574 is a member of the M 81 Group of galaxies, named after the most prominent galaxy in its midst, the big spiral galaxy M 81.
