Description

A pair of planetary nebulae: Heckathorn-Fesen-Gull 1 (larger PN at bottom left) and Abell 6 (smaller bubble at top right.)

HFG1 was produced by the mag 14.5 binary star V664 Cas (rightmost of the three bright stars near the centre) which is moving south-east (toward lower right) through the interstellar medium causing the bow shock and leaving a trail behind.

Captured at SRO, Aug-Dec, 2017
