Description

The Andromeda galaxy or M31 is a spiral galaxy located 2.5 million light years from Earth. It is expected to collide with the Milky Way galaxy in approximately 4.5 billion years where it will form into an elliptical galaxy. Located in the constellation Andromeda it consists of one TRILLION stars ( more than twice the number of Milky Ways 200-400 billion stars) and spanning approximately 220,000 light years it considered one of the largest galaxies in our local group.
