Description

Revisiting The Horsehead Nebula in LHaRGB, as I'm trying to get the last bit out of Orion before it is gone until next year. The final image was a little noisier than I would like, so I'll probably attempt to reprocess again.

B

I reprocessed so the noise reduction was less dramatic resulting in a more natural texture in the final image. Noise reduction is definitely an art.

C

A cropped version of B to emphasize the Horsehead and NGC2023.

D

Combined L and Ha luminance layer. I originally was going to do a Ha only image, but I like how this mono L+Ha image looks a lot.
