Description

In photographing this galaxy with my Samyang 135mm, I thought I had a field wide enough to capture small galaxies around, but no, apart from astrometry, this galaxy is really isolated for my instrument.

Messier 33 is a beautiful spiral galaxy seen from the front in Constellation Triangulum. Under a very good sky, it can be seen with the naked eye.

It seems that it was Hodierna, a disciple of Galileo, who discovered this galaxy first, a little before 1654, then it was rediscovered in 1764 by Charles Messier who inscribed it in his catalog.

Its distance to our Sun is approximate and is estimated at about 3 million light-years.
